Membership is restricted to those who have been awarded an EOD Badge and maintained EOD certification unless discharged for medical or hardship reasons. Any EOD badge wearer may apply.  Non-EOD individuals may apply as a recognized associate (RA).

All EOD Techs are welcome as we are "Bound by the Badge”.  The EODMG is an association and as such welcomes all EOD Technicians (even if you don’t ride a motorcycle), spouses and supporters.

EODMG contributes its time, energy, and resources to maintain and enhance the EOD brotherhood. Our primary task and obligation is to support the EOD legacy, our association, all EOD Technicians and the EOD Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The EODMG views all clubs, organizations, associations and riders with respect.

The EODMG is banded together by those traits and principles that are a result of our common EOD bond and a love for being in the wind. Applications to become a member of The EODMG and our unique brotherhood are available on this site.  All EOD badge wearers are invited to apply as a regular member.  Spouses and supporters are encouraged to join and become an integral part of this specialized association.  The EODMG recognizes and expects the following priorities from it’s membership;

1. The members Family.

2. The member’s job.  The club has respect for a Members career and will not jeopardize their livelihood.

3. The EODMG.  Members are expected to participate to the maximum extent possible.  Attendance at the annual National Rally is anticipated.  (Deployments/TAD understood).

Respect is earned, not given.  Membership is a privilege.  This club would be nothing without the drive and initiative of its members and supporters.   We must all maintain and recognize the ethics and responsibilities of belonging to this unique and specialized group.

The Meaning of the EOD Badge

The Wreath
Symbolizes the achievements and laurels earned in minimizing accident potentials through ingenuity and devotion to duty. It memorializes those EOD Technicians who gave - or will give - their lives while performing EOD duties.

The Bomb
Copied from the design of the World War II Bomb Disposal Badge, represents the historic and primary objective of the EOD attack - the unexploded bomb. The three fins represent the EOD focus on conventional, nuclear, and chemical/biological ordnance.

Lightning bolts
Symbolize the potential destructive power of the bomb and the courage and professionalism of EOD people in their endeavors to reduce hazards as well as to render explosive ordnance harmless.

The Shield
Represents the basic EOD mission, to prevent a detonation and to protect life, limb, and property to the utmost.

The star in the middle of the bomb represents a Technician who has attained Senior EOD competency.
The miniature wreath and star at the top of the badge represent an EOD Technician who has attained Master EOD.
